From Man of Year to Mr. Unpopular

Time magazine selects an annual person of the year. In 2008 that person was Barack Hussein Obama, who had been elected President but not yet taken office. Here we are some 21 months later and Time has an article entitled "How Barack Obama Became Mr. Unpopular."

Is this some kind of record, going from person of the year to Mr. Unpopular in less than 2 years? I suspect the only person who came close was Jimmy Carter, and it took him a few more months.

This is what happens to a President with training wheels. We've had several of them in recent decades.
