Barone: 2010 Predicts 2012

Michael Barone is one of the two top political number crunchers in the nation, the other being Charlie Cook. He compares for The Washington Examiner the percentage of votes Democrats got in each state in the 2010 House elections to today's Gallup percentage of people in that state who approve of Obama.

The table is at the bottom of the column, scroll down. The numbers aren't identical, but nearly so. Barone concludes:
Obama’s Gallup approval tends to be very close to the Democratic percentage of the House popular vote last November.
We all know what happened in the 2010 election; thus we have reason for optimism.
