You never see dementia-Trump in public because he only lives in the heads of Democrats and reporters — but I repeat myself — who are desperate to believe, and who are making fools of themselves in the process.I agree. Trump is touchy, defensive, boastful, and has an outsize ego, but he’s also talented, hard-working, intuitive, ruthless and often-enough successful. Ignore his shtick, focus on his results. Big money doesn’t adhere to stupid or demented people.
Grasping at straws, Democrats remind me of cult members coping with a charismatic leader’s failed prediction of world’s end. Most gamely accept his protestation he merely miscalculated the Biblically inferred date. To believe is to be a fool; to face facts is to accept one has been foolish - the accepting is much harder than the being.
