Yesterday's Primaries

Prognosticator Nate Silver, writing at his 538 website, indicates the GOP didn't do badly on the Super Tuesday primaries which happened yesterday. His main theme: both major parties tended to get their people chosen, when the votes were counted. He writes:
The Republican establishment also had a good night, including the strong second-place finish for Cox in California. Cox got more of the vote than polls projected after receiving the endorsement of President Trump. Thus, California Republicans will avoid the potential turnout-depressing nightmare of having neither a gubernatorial nor U.S. Senate candidate on the ballot in November.
Prediction: CA will give up its "jungle primary" and go back to parties choosing their own candidates. Hat tip to RealClearPolitics for the link.
