Venezuela's News is Slightly Less Bad

After declaring the legislature of Venezuela "illegitimate" for ignoring court decisions, international pressure convinced the Maduro government to ask the Supreme Court to reconsider its decision. McClatchy reports:
The backlash prompted Maduro in a late night speech to ask the courts to review their decision in order to “maintain constitutional stability.”

El Universal newspaper reported that the court had published two “clarifications” including one that said that the National Assembly will maintain its legislative functions.
Venezuela was once the richest nation in Latin America. It has deteriorated into actual hunger via socialist "tweaks" to the economy.

Socialism, we persist in reminding you, is not a way to share the wealth. It is a way to share the poverty. Venezuela is learning the hard way socialism is based on a willful misreading of human nature.
