Willie Brown: Only Blacks Remain Loyal

The New York Times quotes one-time San Francisco mayor and former Speaker of the CA Assembly Willie Brown (scroll down) on where President Obama should campaign during the coming month:

I think he really should go to the black base. I don’t think there’s any other place I would trust he wouldn’t create an adverse reaction rather than a positive reaction.

Brown is one of the shrewdest politicians CA ever produced, albeit essentially amoral.
