The Plum Line blog at
The Washington Post posts interesting f
indings from a recent
Quinnipiac poll, see what they write:
Americans say by 58-38 percent that they’d be uncomfortable with a Muslim president. Among Republicans, that’s 83-15; among independents, it’s 56-39. Only Democrats would be comfortable with a Muslim president, by 60-37.
Circumstances have forced many Democrats to get comfortable with the idea of a Muslim president since they elected a Muslim sympathizer/fellow traveler in 2008. Even so, more than a third of Democrats haven't swallowed the party line.
