I planned to spend today binge watching season 2 of Wednesday, the TV series, or at least the first four episodes thereof which dropped today. Instead I have spent the whole day in our local hospital, getting poked and prodded, scoped, and giving samples of various bodily fluids.
The point of all this activity is to determine whether my chronic cough has bloomed into pneumonia, TB, lung cancer, COPD or ??? I have not been feeling well for maybe a week, thought it was a cold until it took a turn for the worse about 24 hours ago.
I may get to go home tomorrow, or not, I guess I’ll learn that answer in the a.m. My cough kept me awake almost all of last night and the other DrC said I looked ugly this a.m. I felt ugly. Preliminary diagnosis ruled out lung cancer and TB, if it is pneumonia it is atypical. I’ve been on supplemental oxygen and IV antibiotics all day.
