Noonan: the Political Tornado

Peggy Noonan, who writes for The Wall Street Journal, has a column this week that could almost have been written by Ann Coulter. Speaking of negative campaign ads, she says:
For a generation, the American people have been told their politicians are lowlifes. You know what they now think of them? They think they're lowlifes! People don't really expect high character from their political figures anymore. "Congressman Smith cheated on his wife." That's her problem. Cut my taxes.
Admit it. That is snarky enough to be something Annie C. or Maureen D. wrote.
