Campaign officials for Ecuador's then-presidential candidate Rafael Correa sought financial backing from Latin America's last remaining leftist rebel army in 2006, and there is evidence Correa was aware of such solicitations.The report upon which these allegations are based comes from the International Institute for Strategic Studies, in London, and is based on documents and interviews with former FARC members. No surprise, Correa denies any connection with FARC.
