Solution Needed, Emigration Not It

Global Post runs an article about an entire neighborhood in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, which is deserted because the two gangs which between them dominate the city have ordered people to leave. GP asks, it believes rhetorically, "Do these displaced Hondurans deserve asylum in America?

My answer is no. Honduras won't get better until its people take matters into their own hands and get rid of the gangs - vigilante-style, if need be.

The good people of Mexico have finally figured this out, and have pushed back the drug cartels, at gunpoint. Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala need to follow suit. The U.S. taking in refugees from there merely puts off solving the problem.
