Victor Davis Hanson, writing at City Journal, about national borders and those who oppose them:
The truth is that borders do not create difference—they reflect it. Elites’ continued attempts to erase borders are both futile and destructive.
Elites support a borderless world because it provides them benefits without meaningful costs. For the rest of us, who do not hire undocumented pool boys and nannies, the costs outweigh the benefits.
