Too Much to Hope For

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) faces a primary challenge in his home district from a Republican who takes more of a Trump line. It is probably too much to hope for that he could lose this primary election, as Eric Cantor did in VA.

Ryan represents everything the Republican base doesn't like about the wussiness of its Congressional majority. He rolls over and plays dead whenever Obama wants something. And he supports open borders and amnesty for illegals.

Like I said, probably too much to hope for, but we can always keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Even if he wins narrowly, that would sure-as-heck send him a message he couldn't very well ignore.
