Advice for Obama

Economist Gregory Mankiw writes a column of economic advice for President Obama in The New York Times in the form of a letter. The President could do much worse than follow this advice. For example:

Republicans are not terrorists. They are not the enemy. Like you, they love their country, and they want what is best for the American people. They just have a different judgment about what that is.
