Roger Simon writes at PJMedia that Trump will not go 3rd party because he'd lose, expensively. In other words, revenge would come at too high a price in both money and prestige. Simon may be correct, I am uncertain about anything Trump-related.
Not running as an independent is one thing, but what if Trump decides to get revenge by asking his supporters to boyott the GOP? A series of events at which he declares there is no practical difference between the two major party candidates - declaring both anathema - would accomplish the same outcome at far less cost to Trump.
