The Fundraiser Trap

There is something about a political fundraiser that lures presidential candidates into unwise pronouncements. Romney's famous "47 percent" comment came in one of those, as did Obama's "clinging to guns and God" gaffe.

This time around Hillary has generously given us two: first her "basket of deploribles" remark, and now she has slandered Sanders supporters, see the story at a left-wing site The Intercept. Politico also ran a story on the comments.
Some are new to politics completely. They’re children of the Great Recession. And they are living in their parents’ basement. They feel they got their education and the jobs that are available to them are not at all what they envisioned for themselves. And they don’t see much of a future.

So that is a mindset that is really affecting their politics. And so if you’re feeling like you’re consigned to, you know, being a barista, or you know, some other job that doesn’t pay a lot, and doesn’t have some other ladder of opportunity attached to it, then the idea that maybe, just maybe, you could be part of a political revolution is pretty appealing.
Clinton finished up by telling the donor audience how she is trying to appeal to millennials' need for change without overpromising stuff she cannot deliver. Clinton is saying she needs their votes but cannot solve their problems.

People who got degrees in Women's Studies or LGBTQ Studies were conned. Their unemployability problem is twofold: lack of job skills and a self-declared incompatibility with the workplace.
