The Associated Press fact checks Hillary Clinton's "explanation" of her use of a private, non-official server for her official emails as Secretary of State. Perhaps the most charitable conclusion one can draw from their efforts is that she was economical with the truth.
Some of Clinton's assertions square with the truth, others conflict with what is known or with what she has volunteered on other occasions in different contexts. John Harris of Politico characterizes her defense in three words, "Go to hell."
