An article in The Daily Beast adds at least one new factoid to the Argentine politico-legal tangle that includes charges of cover-up against President Cristina Kirchner. It turns out that Judge Rafecas who eventually ruled the charges insufficient to warrant an investigation, was earlier one of several judges who recused himself from the case without explanation.
The article also gives a likely roadmap of what can happen to the case during the balance of Kirchner's term of office, which ends in December. It is unlikely to be settled before then, given the usual pace of Argentine jurisprudence. Hat tip to Power Line for the link.
