She Asks for Truth

COTTonLINE normally finds itself diametrically opposed to anything Cynthia Tucker writes. Notice I wrote "normally," as in "not always."

Tucker has a column for Uexpress, found in Yahoo News, where instead of leaning hard left, as she usually does, she has made a valiant and largely successful attempt to leave left versus right spin out of her text. The result is good.

Her basic argument is that politicians don't tell their constituents the truth about the hard problems facing the nation. She believes if they did, many people would listen and understand.

Maybe she's correct, who knows? I'm not holding my breath waiting for politicians to tell the truth on any consistent basis.
