We haven't heard much of Cheney recently. He's been trying to survive repeated heart problems with the help of some amazing modern medical technology. He has also been writing his political memoir, due out in August.
The Wall Street Journal has an interview with Cheney that you can read here. It focuses mostly on his medical history, and the artificial quasi-heart that keeps him going now. He has had more heart attacks and other negative events than you can imagine.
