Extreme Heat

Our Amazing Planet has an article about the nine hottest places on earth; the nine places with the highest recorded temperatures. Of these nine, the date when the highest temperature was recorded is only listed for five and they are:

El Azizia, Libya, 134 F, September, 1922
Death Valley, USA, 134 F, July, 1913
Araouane, Mali, 130 F, Summer, 1945
Tirat Tsvi, Israel, 129 F, June, 1942
Wadi Halfa, Sudan, 127 F, April, 1967

The thing to which I would draw your attention is that the most recent of these happened almost 45 years ago. If our planet were experiencing global warming, wouldn't you expect at least some of the record highs to be quite recent? I would and the evidence simply isn't there.
