Gloom and Doom

Terence P. Jeffrey of CNSNews.com, reporting on opinion polling data from the Gallup organization:
In no month of Obama’s presidency has belief that the economy is getting better exceeded 41 percent among American adults. (snip) In the most recent three day-period reported by Gallup -- July 1-July 3 -- only 31 percent of Americans said they believed the economy was getting better.
Obama's campaign managers can't be pleased with the direction of that trend line. Unlike at your local Baskin-Robbins, "double dip" is bad news in recessions.
