FBI Leaks Begin

In the aftermath of the James Comey recommendation not to indict Hillary Clinton, we wrote that we had yet to hear from FBI agents who actually conducted the investigation. We were of the opinion they'd be unhappy with the announced non-indictment recommendation and would let that unhappinesss be known via leaks.

It took over a week to emerge but here it is, the predicted leaks have begun. The New York Post has heard from disgruntled FBI agents.
FBI agents expressed their “disappointment” over FBI Director James Comey’s decision not to recommend charges against Clinton, sources close to the matter told The Post.

“FBI agents believe there was an inside deal put in place after the Loretta Lynch/Bill Clinton tarmac meeting,” said one source.

Another source from the Justice Department was “furious” with Comey, saying he’s “managed to piss off right and left."
Leaks were almost inevitable. The Post also notes investigating agents had to sign unusual non-disclosure agreements prior to working on the case, which suggests a preemptive "plumbing" operation from the get-go. I expect more leaks will follow, whether soon enough to affect the election is unclear.
