A Subsidized Workforce

On Wednesday I wrote about employees 65 and older - covered by Medicare - not needing to be covered by Obamacare. Rereading that post triggers the following thought: suppose an employer decided to hire only workers 65 and older and provide no health insurance whatsoever since employees already have Medicare coverage.

This would be an enormous cost advantage if (a) one's business is even semi-labor-intensive and (b) the work is not especially taxing physically. If I've thought of it, an employer with a business cannot be far behind.
