The Hill reports some political operatives see indications of movement away from the Democrats on the part of American Jews. Others say they'll believe it when they see it, that it's been predicted before and never happened.
Based on the attitude of my Jewish friends, COTTonLINE estimates the most the GOP can hope for is American Jews staying home or voting for third party candidates. It will be a chilly day in hell before a majority of American Jews vote Republican. Their issue seems to be evangelical Christian influence in the GOP.
I hope my prediction is proved wrong, of course. As the article notes, it is clear which party supports Israel most uncritically. Ironically, such support may no longer be a key consideration of American Jewry.
