Politico Admits MSM Lapse

The website Politico is useful, but often leans left. That makes their story by Jonathan Topaz unusual and special. Topaz reports:

While much of the mainstream media was focused on violence in Gaza, conservative media outlets and commentators have been shining their spotlight on violence against Iraqi Christians and Yazidis since last month — well before President Barack Obama spoke of Yazidis and Christians on Thursday night.

“I believe what is happening to the Christian community in Iraq is genocide,” Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) said on the House Floor on July 22. “I also believe it is a crime against humanity.”

Wolf has continued to speak out against ISIS genocide, and various conservative blogs and outlets have reported on the atrocities. The MSM came late to the game, most were having too much fun beating up on Israel over Gaza.
