The Replicant's Soliloquy

I've been thinking about the energy we humans invest in accumulating experiences - memories really - and the marvelous memories that are lost every time someone dies. It is the theme of replicant Roy Blatty's dying soliloquy in the film Blade Runner.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Time to die.
