Move "Em Out

President Obama has called growing income inequality "the defining challenge of our time." In the fine tradition of Jonathan Swift's satirical Modest Proposal, RealClearPolitics' David Azerrad suggests a solution to our income inequality problem: exile the top 0.1%.

Or auction them off to third world countries seeking entrepreneurial talent. And while we're at it, confiscate their wealth before sending them away. Repeat as needed, every 5-10 years. It is more or less what the Castro brothers did in Cuba.

I seem to remember Kurt Vonnegut tackled the inequality problem too. His concern was more with personal inequalities: differences in vision, hearing, perhaps intellect. His solution was equally hysterical.
