Interesting Times ....

China's stock market tanks, Greece votes No on more austerity, an illegal immigrant with a long rap sheet who has been deported five times is arrested for shooting a random young woman in San Francisco, the U.S. women beat the Japanese in soccer, or football, if you prefer, and so it goes. Some good, mostly bad, and our inability to reach a nuclear deal with Iran may be either, depending.

Meanwhile, the Russians are wondering if the lame-duck Soviet era assembly which okayed the Baltic Republics' declarations of independence from Russia had the authority to permit their exits. Plus the fifth generation fighter aircraft upon which our future defense rests has shown itself to be a lumbering, underpowered loser ... that can't be good news.

We are cursed to live in interesting times, not restful but seldom boring.
