Some Fridays she plans to do a survey of what tops the headlines in most if not all of the countries in the region. I enjoyed the current sample and learned some things.
For example, did you know that in Brazil Flavio Bolsonaro - the son of the former conservative President Jair Bolsonaro (currently imprisoned) - now leads in polls ahead of a new presidential election scheduled for October? The leftist incumbent Lula de Silva is losing popularity in those polls.
I enjoyed her column and have made a mental note to seek it out semi-regularly.
