Oops!

Dr. Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon and presidential aspirant, is quoted by AFP via Yahoo News as denying the Egyptian pyramids were tombs. The Egyptological community, meanwhile, is unanimous in the belief the elaborate mausoleums were pharaonic burial sites, "launching pads" for the journey to the afterlife.

Carson believes the pyramids stored grain, which would make them the world's most over-engineered, overbuilt grain bins ever. Carson is a nice man, soft-spoken and polite, possibly a good surgeon, but at least one can short of a six pack.

Presidential timber he is not, being the anti-Trump outsider is not enough. Some kind soul should ask him to sit down and stop embarrassing himself (and the party).
