Quote of the Day

Laura Washington, an African-American columnist, writing in the Chicago Sun Times, about the black-on-black violence and murder in her city:

When will black Chicago stop accepting its own self destruction?
When will we admit that black lives don’t matter to us?
When are we going to stop waiting for white people to beg us to change?

Long overdue perhaps, but entirely welcome nevertheless. The whole column is good.
