Not Responsible

Do you remember a COTTonLINE post entitled "Willful Ignorance" some days ago? I argued that the major party candidates are not responsible for who endorses them. Here is a prime example, thanks to Lucianne.com for the link.

People's World, a website of the U.S. Communist Party, reports its national chair John Bachtell endorsing the candidacy of Hillary Clinton. He argues against comrades throwing away their votes with the Green Party's Jill Stein.

COTTonLINE's view: Hillary doesn't endorse Bachtell, he endorses her. Likewise, Trump doesn't endorse David Duke, Duke endorses Trump. Neither Clinton nor Trump is responsible for the fringe adherents each attracts.

As Newsbusters points out, the Communists are orders of magnitude worse than the KKK if "number of murders committed" is the key metric.
You recall the Communists, yes? The folks who produced Stalin and Mao? The advocates of a political philosophy that is described in The Black Book of Communism as being responsible for “between 85 million and 100 million” deaths? in “the most colossal case of political carnage in history.” Ring a bell? The Soviet Union? The Cold War? The Iron Curtain? Korea? Vietnam? The Khmer Rouge?
We remember, vividly.
