I wonder how Senate Democrats, who have a majority, will respond to that bipartisan vote in the House? As I see it they have two basic choices: go along with the House on budget cutting, or accept gridlock.

Many Dems Hear the Drums
A bill was put before the House of Representatives raising the debt ceiling without any strings attached. All Republicans voted "no" and 82 Democrats voted with them! Another 7 Democrats voted "present," I guess they learned that trick from their President. The final vote was 318 against and 97 for. Find the details in this article from The Hill.
