The article has me asking myself, "Isn't illegal immigration a crime?" I've always thought it was a federal crime. Shouldn't illegals acquire a criminal record before being sent home?
A criminal record, as evidence of moral turpitude, would preclude a later application for citizenship. Repeat offenders should do some jail time.
