The Worm Turns

Associated Press reports the German spy agency, known by its acronym BND, spied on Secretary of State John Kerry and his predecessor Hillary Clinton. The BND eavesdropped on their telephone calls.

If true, this is hugely ironic. Germany whined loud, long and publicly about the NSA listening to German Chancellor Angela Merkel's calls.

Gentlemen may not open each other's mail but governments do, routinely. AP's source for this story is a report in the respected German weekly newsmagazine Der Spiegel. Hat tip to Drudge Report for the link.
