Snark Attack

Kathleen Parker writes in The Washington Post about the limp Bush performance in GOP debate number three. It is hard to know whether she is sad about the current state of play, but she certainly exhibits relish in snarking about it.
In today’s theater of bloviating showmen, viral sound bites and platitudes passing as policy, people like Bush who prefer experience and a more thoughtful approach to complex issues will never be appreciated. He’s a Charlie Rose kind of guy trapped in a Donald Trump reality show — miscast in a movie he would have no interest in seeing.
Parker views the GOP primary race through a show business lens. Jeb Bush becomes a stock character - the oddball kid everybody disses in middle school - think Luna Lovegood or Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter ouvre.
