The Posh Shooters of Dhaka

The New York Times is reporting the gunmen who killed 20 in a restaurant in Bangladesh were young men from the nation's elite.
The men, all in their late teens or early 20s, were products of Bangladesh’s elite, several having attended one of the country’s top English-medium private schools as well as universities both in the country and abroad.

Among them was the son of a former city leader in the prime minister’s own Awami League, the governing party.
Fortunately, all but one earned the Darwin Award for their efforts. It's worth remembering Osama ben Laden was the rich son of a wealthy Saudi family. The 1960s kids in the Weather Underground came from affluent families, too. Maybe we shouldn't be surprised.
