Paul Wiseman, writing for the Associated Press and found in Yahoo News, about the dreary U.S. economy:
Sometimes disappointing economic reports look better on closer inspection. This one gets uglier.
That little gem could run a shiver right up your spine. Then Wiseman quotes economist Ken Mayland of ClearView Economics as follows:
We have painted ourselves into a corner. When you're at zero interest rates and running a $1.5 trillion deficit, you don't really have many policy options.
We're in deep doodoo and have already used up all of our ways to get out. In other words, it's time to worry.
