2016: The Morning Line

Nate Silver has been one of the most lucky and/or skillful number crunchers doing political prognostication. Here writing for his Five-Thirty-Eight blog, Silver runs down the chances and predict a close presidential election 19 months from now. Is he correct? Maybe, I think it's too soon to tell, and he admits as much.

Silver plots candidates for both parties' nominations on Cartesian coordinates, with one axis being how well known the person is, and the other being how much they are liked. I enjoy Silver's title for this chart:

For sure, Chris Christie isn't popular, neither are Bush and Cruz.
