Journalist Carl Bernstein of Woodward and Bernstein fame in Watergate, interviewed on
CNN, as
reported by
The Daily Caller. Bernstein's 2008 book on Hillary Clinton is quoted:
Since her Arkansas years, Hillary Rodham Clinton has always had a difficult relationship with the truth. It is an understatement by now that she has been known to apprehend truths about herself and the advance of her life that others do not exactly share.
Asked about that passage, Bernstein doubled down on Hillary's dishonesty:
There is a lot of obfuscation, there is a lot of opaqueness, there is a lot of forgetting. Whether it’s purposeful or not, I think some of it is.
As former Sen. Bob Kerrey (D-NB) famously said, "Bill Clinton's an unusually good liar." Sadly for her candidacy, Hillary Clinton is not nearly as good.
