This would not have been a tough winter to spend in Wyoming. Normally our neighbors claim the winters aren't so much "hard" as they are "long." For a change, this one hasn't been all that long.
There has been no snow on the ground, as opposed to the hillsides, for a couple of weeks. Highs this week will get up into the low 50s, although evenings are still dropping below freezing. At a mile high elevation, in early April, that is darned clement.
I hope it doesn't mean we'll have a hot summer; like most WY homes we have no AC. It can get hot but almost never does. If it gets too miserable, we'll move into the RV which has seldom-used AC.
The one time in two decades WY was hot for several days we had visitors. They have never stopped complaining about how miserable they were. As I told them, that rascal Murphy works overtime.
