Earlier today, we reported on a CNN poll. Also appearing today, a Washington Post/ABC News poll looking at some of the same issues as well as the Republican field. The site has seven very nice graphics.
Every candidate listed has negatives equal to, or greater than, their positives - both Hillary and the nine listed Republicans. Are we headed for another "least worst" election where we hold our collective noses and vote for the lesser of evils? Gosh, I hope not.
The second chart shows Scott Walker ahead by an eyelash. Walker, Paul, Bush, Rubio, Huckabee, Cruz and Carson are, as Balz and Craighill note, "all within three points of one another" and rank as listed. Effectively they are in a seven-way tie for the lead, polling between Walker's 11% and Carson's 8%.
Charts four and five basically show that a majority of people disapprove of Hillary Clinton, are unhappy with her foundation's fund-raising and her involvement with Benghazi, and believe those are valid problems with her record.
Chart six shows Hillary has dropped 6% while Jeb has risen 3%, the only head-to-head reported. Chart seven shows that, if the race is Clinton vs. Bush most expect her to win.
Chart one shows very high negatives for both Clinton and Bush, about 50% each. Only Donald Trump has higher negatives (65%), making him a sure loser and them only marginally less so unless matched against each other.
