The Smithsonian Institution has falling attendance, especially the National Museum of American History. Under its most recent Secretary, Lonnie Bunch, the institution has gone woke and is pushing DEI.
It has emphasized our shortcomings and failures, not our many successes. The audience has voted with their feet and stayed away, and the attendance decline isn’t small.
Bunch has been “encouraged” to retire and will do so at year’s end. Perhaps President Trump can appoint a replacement who is actually proud of the United States’ accomplishments and is willing to tell our winning story in a positive light.
