The long-awaited midterm approaches, less than two weeks now. The pundit class are all writing about what they hope will happen.
Nobody knows whether the “shy Republicans” will turn out to vote or stay home. It almost seems the election outcome will turn on that issue. Or not, maybe the blue wave materializes after all.
Polling is all over the map, I just read one which found people would vote for Democrats but hoped the GOP would retain control of the Senate. How can both of those be true?
Hints abound including that Trump will resume bombing Iran right after the polls close. “The future,” as one comedian would portentously announce, “lies ahead.” I’m making no predictions, but I have hopes.
