Bolivian Referendum Scheduled

We posted earlier about separatist movements in Bolivia's lowland eastern regions. Here in the Washington Post is an update on that situation, a situation that has economic, social, racial, and political components. It would appear that the Bolivians are in for interesting times. President Morales, no friend of the U.S., is under considerable pressure to win a referendum on his stewardship:

On Sunday, the nation is scheduled to vote on a referendum on whether to recall Morales, his vice president and nearly all of the regional leaders, known as prefects.
