A couple of days ago on Sunday, I wrote about the desirability of closing out a number of large federal agencies. Fortuitously, this afternoon I ran across this
article in the
AtlanticWire which describes the city of Colorado Springs doing essentially this on the city level.
So, instead of merely suggesting the possibility of reducing the size of government, we have before us an actual example where the electorate chose this path and are, it seems, making it work. I am encouraged.
