Timothy Egan has written a long column for The New York Times which adds exactly nothing to our understanding of the water shortage facing California. You have to wonder why he made the effort,
I suppose Egan was hurting for a column topic. He probably has a quota to produce and sadly ideas do not flow "on demand." At COTTonLINE we have the luxury of writing when something catches our interest, this blog isn't how we pay our bills.
If you have steadfastly avoided learning about the drought in CA and finally want a quick summary of the issues, Egan's column will do. Otherwise, skip it.
