There Are Simple Answers

For many years now, you and I been shushed like children and told there are no simple answers to the complex problems which are beyond our comprehension. Well, the truth is, there are simple answers – there just are not easy ones.

He might have added "...or ones we can stomach." Very often the simple answer is kill someone, or many someones. For example, a simple solution to prison overcrowding and criminal recidivism is automatic and immediate capital punishment for all "third strike" convicts.
