Musing about the proposed new stock exchange based in Texas, Power Line's John Hinderaker makes an interesting prediction. I share it with you because it is controversial, I'm not certain whether I agree.
Our country is currently on a path to disunion. Like tectonic plates shifting, we are moving inexorably toward two nations, one red and a smaller one blue. That result is not by any means foreordained, and I hope it won’t happen. But it is the end point of the road we are now on.
I can imagine us taking a off-ramp from the current path, and rather hope we do. But at this point I see no signs of such a ramp on the horizon.
